Your wedding, your story.

One of the many joys I find in photographing weddings is that no two are alike. Every couple's story is different. My goal is to tell that story through a photojournalistic approach that I have practiced over the last decade as a photographer. The last thing you want to worry about on the day of your wedding is missed moments that could have been captured, whether it's the little details of the decorations you labored on for months, or Papa grinning ear to ear on the dance floor. These are the moments that will define the story of your wedding, don't miss the opportunity to preserve them in time.

An Investment

You might not realize it in all of the hustle and bustle of planning your special day, but the longest lasting detail will be your wedding photographs. Choosing a wedding photographer is an investment that ensures all of your hard work, and most importantly, the celebration of your love is documented with the highest quality and skill. A wedding is not only a celebration of your love, it's also a once in a lifetime chance in many cases to be surrounded by all of your family and friends in one place. Hiring a professional photographer to capture the intimate moments, details, and fun is an investment in priceless memories that will be shared through generations.

Destination weddings provide an incredible opportunity to have a photographer not only for your wedding, but to document your love in a place that is most meaningful to you. Having been to quite a few destinations myself from literally the top and bottom of the globe, I am able to go beyond being a photographer and provide help with your travel plans, tips on the best places and times to shoot, and local recommendations anything your searching for. Browse a selection of the wonderful destination weddings I've photographed below!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you offer prints
and albums?

Absolutely! Your wedding deserves to live outside of a screen, and one of the greatest joys I get is being able to deliver an album or print set to my clients. I work with a local print studio based in Rhode Island to provide the best quality, archival prints and hardcover, lay-flat albums.

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely! If you've made it this far, you can probably tell by now that I'm the kind of person to jump on a plane with a few days notice. I have had the privilege to travel throughout the US, Europe, Japan, and South America. No destination is too far. Destination wedding packages are quoted on an individual basis and can vary depending on the location, travel time, and other expenses. Please reach out with any questions so we can discuss your travel plans for your wedding in more detail.

How will I receive
the photos?

All wedding collections include an online gallery with high resolution JPG images with a personal print release, allowing you to print on your own if you'd like. Copyrights will still be retained by Chris Mongeau Photography, but you're always free to print images on your own for personal use.

How do I know if we're the right fit?

Choosing a wedding photographer is not easy. The competition is out there and everyone has their own niche, personal style, and specialties. I am an adventurous soul with an open mind and fierce attention to detail. My personality is laid back but structured, I plan well in advance but can adapt to change in an instant when things inevitably do not go as planned. I also come with over a decade worth of experience with photographing weddings which I draw upon constantly. Most of all, I enjoy having fun with the couples I work with and strive to ensure that my presence is seamless within your special day.
